Knowledge discovery and data mining in the World-Wide Web have recently become areas of growing significance because of the rapid increase in various important Web applications. The ICDCS Workshop of knowledge discovery and data mining in the World-Wide Web is to provide an international forum for the sharing of original research results, innovative ideas, state-of-the-art development, and implementation experiences about the knowledge discovery and data mining in the Web among researchers, engineers, and computer users in academic and industrial organizations.
